How do the Speed Up tournaments work?
These tournaments are held in two phases, one immediately after the other.
The first phase is held in All-in or Fold (AoF) Shootout format. The players are evenly distributed among the tables, and play AoF poker until a single player is left at each table. Players are not reshuffled among or added to the tables in this phase. Players who are eliminated during the first phase receive no prizes.
After the first phase is over, the winners of all tables are evenly distributed among new tables (keeping their stacks intact) and resume playing Hold`em: NL (if the first phase was held in AoF Texas), PLO (AoF Omaha) or 6+ (AoF 6+). Shootout mode is also turned off. All players who reach the second phase of a SpeedUp tournament are automatically in-the-money.
